New York, NY, August 18th, 2016 – Every day, items are left un-purchased in the online shopping carts of the world, and shoppers are left with the quandary of waiting for the perfect deal. To cure this ‘buy-a-phobia’ Y&R teamed up with Chelsea Pictures and director Jack Cole for their latest campaign.
‘Carts' depicts a selection of abandoned shopping carts, their contents “abandoned for price, a sale that never happened, or maybe a moral objection to paying shipping and whatever handling is." With Retail Me Not, users can shop confidently knowing that price does not need to come between them and the things they want. In ‘Handbag’, a love affair blossoms between subtly personified purse and its future owner, the two brought together with the help of the RetailMeNot app, "So you can love it. Not leave it."
"I loved the scripts from the first moment I read them as they cleverly combined subtle humour with visual storytelling, and both ideas had a really beautiful simplicity also. I was incredibly happy to be brought on board by Y&R, and we all worked hard in crafting the that fine balance of comedy but wrapped up with a stylish sophistication, that felt perfect for these ideas and the brand,” stated Jack Cole on his experiences on this campaign.
