February 11th, 2015 –  Director Matthias Zentner has joined the roster of bicoastal production company Chelsea Pictures for exclusive representation in the United States. With a background in the disciplines of design and photography, Matthias’s work spans the genres of filmmaking,  installation work, and even live events.

Zentner began his career as a writer and photographer for travel magazines.  He soon transitioned into freelance design and editorial work, allowing Zentner to achieve a high-level of post production knowledge. He co-founded Velvet Mediendesign, and developed it from a niche design studio into a internationally recognized and well known design studio, art, event and film production company. In an ever-changing technological landscape, Matthias has consistently been able to blend art direction, cinematography, styling, sound design and visual effects to create a seamless whole.

“I am so happy to have Matthias join our company,  I have been a longtime fan of him and his work. It’s inspiring to think of what we’ll be able to collaborate on together,” said Partner and EP Lisa Mehling.

In using his keen ability to "direct through design,” Matthias brings a well tailored story-telling perspective to both individual pursuits and branded content alike. His recent clients include Nikon, Ford, Brita, and Audi to name a few.

The director joins Chelsea for U.S. Representation, and is represented Internationally by Velvet Medien Design.
