New York, NY, March 30th, 2015 - Alex Gibney's revealing documentary Going Clear: Scientology and the Prison of Belief had its worldwide broadcast premiere on Sunday March 29th on HBO.  After a very positive reception at the Sundance Film Festival in January, the film has continued to gain momentum through both its rave reviews and its response from the Church of Scientology itself.

The premiere broadcast was viewed by over 1.7 million viewers, which ranks the telecast as the biggest HBO documentary premiere in almost a decade as reported by the Hollywood Reporter. From Rolling Stone, to the LA Times, critics are receiving the documentary as 'a remarkable glimpse into Scientology.' The Hollywood Reporter has even begun considering 'Going Clear' as a major Oscar contender.
